Good to know

• Generating a barcode doesn't register a product number. Retail EAN/UPC numbers must come from GS1.
• PNG text uses a small built-in pixel font covering digits, A-Z and - . $ / + % *. If the data uses other characters, the PNG is saved without text; the SVG always includes it.
• Every PNG is read back and checked bar by bar before you can save it. Test-scan printed barcodes with your scanner, especially at small sizes.
• Code 128 covers ASCII (codes 0 to 127) and picks code sets A, B and C automatically for a compact barcode. GS1-128 (FNC1) and ITF-14 bearer bars aren't produced.
