Good to know
- PNG, TIFF and lossless WebP keep every pixel. JPEG and lossy WebP discard detail to save space.
- EXIF metadata (camera, GPS) is not copied. Rotation from EXIF is applied to the pixels.
- Transparency is kept in PNG, WebP and TIFF; it's filled with the background color in JPEG and BMP.

How do I convert HEIC to JPG without uploading?
On macOS, drop the HEIC photos into Image Converter, choose JPEG and click Convert. Everything happens on your computer. HEIC input is currently macOS-only.
What happens to transparency when converting PNG to JPG?
JPEG can't store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a background color you choose (white by default), and Toolfox tells you.
