Quick answer
Open Toolfox → Rotate & Flip Image, drop your images, choose a rotation, a flip, or “Fix orientation” for photos that show up sideways, and click Rotate. PNG, BMP, TIFF and lossless WebP are rotated with no quality loss. It runs entirely on your computer (Mac, Windows or Linux). Files are never uploaded.
How to do it
- Open Rotate & Flip Image and drop one or more images.
- Choose an action: rotate 90° either way or 180°, flip horizontally or vertically, or fix orientation.
- For JPEG and lossy WebP, set the quality (95 by default).
- Click Rotate. Copies are named name-rotated.jpg, name-flipped.jpg or name-upright.jpg.

- JPEG and lossy WebP are decoded and re-encoded at the quality you choose, which loses a little detail. Truly lossless JPEG rotation isn't offered.
- The EXIF rotation tag is applied first, so results always match what you see. EXIF metadata (camera, GPS) is not copied and the saved file has no rotation tag; the color profile is kept where the format allows.
- GIF, HEIC and AVIF inputs are saved as PNG.

Why does my photo show sideways in some apps?
Cameras often store a rotation tag instead of turning the pixels, and not every app reads it. “Fix orientation” bakes that rotation into the pixels so every app shows the photo the same way.
Is JPEG rotation lossless?
No. JPEG and lossy WebP are decoded and re-encoded at the quality you choose, which loses a little detail. Truly lossless JPEG rotation isn't offered.
