Add a text watermark to images on your computer
Quick answer
Open Toolfox → Add Watermark to Image, drop your images, type your text (such as your name or “Confidential”), choose a corner, the center or tiled diagonally, and click Add Watermark. Text size is relative to each image's width, so it looks the same on large and small images. It runs entirely on your computer (Mac, Windows or Linux). Files are never uploaded.
How to do it
- Open Add Watermark to Image and drop one or more images.
- Type the watermark text; use a new line for multiple lines.
- Choose position, text size, color and opacity (50% by default). The soft shadow keeps it readable.
- Click Add Watermark. Copies are named name-watermarked.jpg.

Good to know
- Text uses the bundled Inter font, which covers Latin, Greek and Cyrillic. Characters it lacks are skipped and listed in a warning. Scripts that need complex shaping (such as Arabic or Devanagari) won't render correctly.
- PNG, BMP, TIFF and lossless WebP keep every other pixel unchanged; JPEG and lossy WebP are re-encoded at quality 95.
- A visible watermark discourages reuse but can be cropped or edited out; it is not a security feature.
- EXIF rotation is applied first and EXIF metadata is not copied. Transparency is kept in PNG, WebP and TIFF.
